How long you should wear a waist trainer is going to depend on how long you have been using the trainer as well as how comfortable you are in the trainer.
Every woman is going to be different in how long she can can and should be wearing her waist shaper, but there are some basic rules to keep in mind if you want your waist training to be successful.
Start Off Slow and Work Your Way Up to Longer Waist Training Sessions
When you first start waist training, you will want to start off slow and only wear it for 1-2 hours. For some women, they find that an hour is their max for the first few days.
That is completely fine as you need to start off slow and work your way up to wearing it longer.
The reason behind this is, you need to start off slow to gradually train your body to pull in your waist. Also, if you simply wear your waist trainer for 8 hours right in the beginning you may find that it becomes uncomfortable or may even cause pain. This will prevent you from wanting to use the trainer anymore and you need consistent use for awhile to see any type of results.
It can be tempting to want to rush it, and start off wearing your trainer for several hours but you can do more damage to both your body and your motivation if you do this.
Aim for At Least 8 Hours a Day
Once you start gradually increasing the amount of time you wear your waist trainer, you should set a goal of wearing it for at least 8 hours a day.
Some people recommend you wear it at least 12 hours a day, but 8 hours every day is enough to get good results from your waist training.
The best way to start increasing your time of wearing the corset is to just starting adding time every day. So, if you started out wearing your trainer for an hour for the first 2 days, on the 3rd day you could add 15 minutes. Then, on the 4th day you could add another 15 minutes to the total time you wear the trainer.
By the end of the second week of your waist training, you could be up to around 3-4 hours a day of wearing the shaper. You just continue adding time onto your sessions until you are able to wear the trainer for at least 8 continuous hours a day.
If you are looking for more dramatic results and you are comfortable with your 8 hours a day, you can then work your way up to wearing the trainer for 12 hours a day. This would mean you would most likely put it on in the morning before heading out to work or starting your day and then take it off after dinner or before you relax for bedtime at night.
Just remember, that when it comes to determining how long you should wear a waist trainer you want to make sure you take things slowly and stay with the waist training on a consistent basis. If you do this, you can start seeing results with your waist training and cinching in your waist just like you want.
