I have heard a lot of different questions when it comes to waist training and one of the more popular ones lately has been, “does waist training make your butt bigger?”
I think this question really stems from a certain celebrity family who endorses waist trainers and tend to have bigger butts and hips. I have also seen a few waist training before and after pictures that appear that the woman’s butt has grown twice in size.
The simple answer to this question is : No, waist training alone will not make your butt bigger.
But, waist training can make you look like you have a bigger butt.
Why Waist Training Makes Your Butt and Hips Look Bigger
Successful waist training changes your waist to hip ratio and gives you more of an hourglass appearance.
Wearing a waist trainer will not make your hips smaller or larger and it also won’t make your butt larger or smaller. It only directly affects your waist unless you choose to do a restrictive diet along with waist training.
The thing to keep in mind though, is when your waist becomes smaller, it will make your hips and butt appear larger than what they may have been before waist training. But if you take your measurements you will most likely find they have not changed in size.
Look at it this way:
A woman who has a 35 inch waist and 38 inch hips to begin with isn’t going to have much of a difference between her hips and stomach area.
If that same woman loses 5 inches off your waist from waist training and now has a 30 inch waist, but her hips are still 38 inches, she is going to look dramatically different. She will have quite the difference in her waist to hip ratio that will make it appear that she has those curvy hips and butt even though they are the same exact size as before she started waist training.
Basically, by waist training and losing those inches off your waist you give the appearance of a larger butt because you have such a cinched waist. It’s like an instant curvy body without having to get plastic surgery or butt implants.
