I have heard many different questions when it comes to waist training and one of the more frequent ones I tend to hear from women is, “does waist training give permanent results?”
I know lots of women want to be able to wear a waist trainer for a few weeks and have their waist cinched in and not have to worry about ever wearing a waist trainer again. Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but this is simply not the way waist training works.
If you think about any type of training, you have to continue to work at it for it to continue to work or to be successful. The thing to keep in mind though is that once you have done the initial training of your waist, you usually don’t have to work as hard as you did in the beginning.
Waist Training Is Considered Semi-Permanent
The reason why most people consider waist training semi-permanent and completely permanent is that if you completely stop using your waist training you will notice that your waist may start going back to where it was before you started waist training.
So, for example, if you lost 4 inches off your waist and then you decide to stop using your trainer all together you may notice that in a few weeks your waist is only 2 inches smaller than it was before waist training.
The good thing is that if you do continue to wear your waist trainer you can still have the same results and it doesn’t take wearing your trainer every day for 8 hours to keep your results. You simply just need some time wearing your waist trainer to keep “training” your waist and having that pressure to cinch it in.
How to Get The Most Out of Your Waist Training
If you are worried that you are going to lose inches in the beginning of your waist training and then just simply go back to your original waist size that definitely doesn’t have to be the case. You can lose those inches and with some continued wearing of your shaper continue to reap those results.
The first thing you should definitely do is to make sure that you have a high quality waist trainer that works well for your body.Without a good waist trainer your efforts are just wasted as you need a good shaper to get results.
Once you have achieved the results you desire with your waistline you can continue to cut back the hours that you wear your corset. So, if you were wearing your corset 7 days a week for 8 hours a day, you can mix it up and try to for only wearing 6 hours a day and even take one day off.
You can take a little break from wearing your waist trainer but you probably don’t want to take longer than a week or so in the beginning or you may notice that you start losing your results.
As you go along as long as your waist is still staying cinched in at the same size you desire you can continue to decrease the time. So, for this example you could go from wearing 6 hours 6 days a week to wearing 4 hours 6 days a week.
Although waist training is not exactly permanent if you play it smart and don’t completely stop wearing your waist trainer at all times you can achieve great results without having to wear your actual shaper every day all day long.
