There are some people who prefer to do waist training with a waist trainer vest rather than just the corset around their abdominal area. This is a personal preference in what you find comfortable for your body as well as any other problems you may have with only wearing the regular corset.
Just some of the reasons why people prefer the waist training vest is because it can provide more stability and support for the back as well as helps to smooth out the back area when it comes to back fat or bra bulge. Some other people find that it is more comfortable because you don’t have to worry about it possibly falling down or riding up since it has the straps over your shoulders.
Another added bonus is that with a vest you tend to get more lift for your breasts than if you use the underbust corset shapers.
The vest work just as well as the traditional waist trainers and you can get the same great results.

Squeem Miracle Vest Compression Shaper
This training vest has a full support back panel that is attached to adjustable bra straps that connect to the front of the trainer on the sides. This works to not only help support your back but can also lift your breasts and support them more especially if you have a larger chest and need more support.
It has a comfortable cotton lining and there are two hook n’ eye closures for easy on and off of the vest. It comes up high enough on the back that is will help to smooth out any back fat rolls or bra bulge that you may have. All around it gives you a sleeker and smoother appearance from simply just wearing it.
This particular training vest has flexible boning that does prevent it from rolling up on the bottom. The longer length of the corset allows for a more comfortable fit and less chance it roll up off your hips.

Amia Waist Trainer Vest (A103)
This is another very high rated and quality waist trainer vest. The outer material is a rubber (Latex) that works to really cinch in your waist and compress your abdominal area but the inside is a soft and comfortable cotton material.
It has flexible boning to give you the support in your stomach as well as in your back. It goes all the way up the back over the bra band and has adjustable straps just like a bra.The fact that it does go up so high in the back makes for a much smoother and sleeker look on your back as well.

It has two rows of hook & eye closures so that it will last you quite some time as your waist gets smaller.
These do run a bit on the small side, but as you may know a waist training corset has to be tight in order for it to work properly. You may want to consider buying a size larger if you are on the border of the sizes.

Plus Size Waist Trainer Vest
If you are looking for a plus size waist training vest, I would definitely check out the Squeem vest above. It goes up to size 5Xl which is a natural waistline of 49-51 inches. This is comparable to a dress size of 22-24 in women’s sizes.
You aren’t going to find very many waist trainers that go beyond this size especially in the vest style. If you need something larger, check out my selections for the best plus size waist trainer as some of them do go up slightly larger in size.
There definitely are some nice benefits to wearing a full training vest but they aren’t for all women. Some women may not like the shaper all the way up their back or may not feel comfortable with the straps along with wearing a bra.
On the other hand it can actually beneficial to wear the waist training vest if you tend to have back problems or your back is your trouble spot with bra bulge or back fat. It definitely wouldn’t be a bad idea to try out the vest to get something different when it comes to your waist training program.
